Sometimes it amazes me how professional cookie decorators such as Tunde come up with striking designs, often using very few colors, but maximizing their effect with bells and whistles. In this case, piping details and really putting the air-brush to use. It adds depth and drama, and makes this set come alive in a spectacular way. Wouldn’t you agree?

Then it is a fun process of icing in stages, following Tunde’s instructions that are in real time, every step demonstrated for you.
Some cookies I cut by hand, some I used cookie cutters. But the real cool step was generating a lot of shading with the air-brush. I won’t lie to you, it takes a bit of practice, do it over a piece of paper before moving to the cookie so you know what to expect and change the pressure on the trigger accordingly.
This set is just adorable and made me smile every time I looked at it…
