I have played with this concept in the past (check it out here and here), but could not resist going back to the issue and making some more designs. Cuteness level is high, wouldn’t you agree?

This is a beginner-friendly set for sure. Maybe the only slightly intimidating step is piping the seeds, but you can use a food safe pen and call it a day. The cutters used were popsicle, dress, cupcake, and for the watermelon slice I used a round cutter, sliced it in half and used a small scalloped circular cutter to mimic the bite. Bake them all, make icing in watermelon, light green, darker green, and white. Later you will use brown for the seeds, in piping consistency.

Plan the different areas to flood, and work on each one, marbling the colors when needed (cupcake base, and watermelon rind for instance).

Once the cookies are all flooded, let them set for a few hours before going back to add the seeds.

It is a perfect set for Summer and kids will love them!
