Yes, baby, it’s cold outside… But, is it cold enough to build an igloo? Maybe not quite, but you can always “cookie” one.
Another super simple design, starting from a round shape. I made a small template for the shape of the door, and covered it with turquoise Royal icing. Then the rest of the cookie was flooded with white, and the details added later when the base was set. A little sanding sugar for added texture. A little golden heart in fondant. And that is all!
You can also just paint the opening with luster powder gold and vodka, then add a red heart instead, I think it would look super cute. The igloo cookies are a good match for my beloved Polar bears featured in my previous post (click here to read it).
