One more project to love and cherish, courtesy of the sweet Haniela. For once this one was for us. I did not donate it. It is sitting on a little table, welcoming whoever enters our home. I made it with construction gingerbread, so it’s not edible. The smell is amazing, though. A wonderful cookie adventure…

So many details in this project, take a look at all the different sides of “the property” ….

Undoubtedly, a labor of love. I spread the preparation over three days, making all the panels first…

Perhaps the trickiest component of the house was the brick wall around the fireplace…

Soon everything was ready to assemble. I used sugar syrup for the sides of the house, and added the roof later with thick Royal icing.
