One more time, Haniela takes a humble concept – the Ladybug – and takes it to a totally higher level of cuteness…

I am absolutely smitten with these cookies! She demonstrated how to make them in a recent live event on youtube, and you can watch the whole thing (for free!) clicking here. Some steps of the prep are shown below.

I would not qualify this as a beginner project, but it’s not overly complicated. The final bit of brush embroidery really makes the design special. I made some cookies to go with them, and find they worked pretty good together. What do you think?

It never ceases to amaze how Haniela always comes up with cool ideas to decorate cookies. Her creativity has no limits! And for that I am grateful…

You must remember by now that ladybirds are quite my favourite bugs . , their usual spots always catch the eye but I have never seen them wear Karl Lagerfeld or Christian Dior before (have just been to look up the current stars of haute couture – guess what 🙂 ?). Sally, that last photo should be enlarged and framed for your kitchen !!! GORGEOUS! . . . oh, yes, we know – it is almost a ‘beginner project’ . . , . this total ignoramus is about to go off and have a look >>>
