A small collection of cookies that are fun and playful, perfect to offer to families with kids…
SANTA IN THE CHIMNEY

For this composition, I used a set of two cookie cutters, available at Semisweet Designs (click here). For the chimney, I used a stencil with a brick pattern in a darker tone of brown. And the Santa component got the usual classic colors. A little white icing for snow, with a shower of sanding sugar, and that’s all you need!

And here is our Santa introducing the next playful cookie, a little Teddy Bear!

TEDDY BEAR WITH A SANTA HAT

The cookie cutter from Flour Box, and you can find it here. Once you buy their cookie cutters, you can see some step by step instructions to decorate it, and I used their basic suggestions, adding a few touches here and there.

CHRISTMAS TREE DESIGNS

Another cookie cutter from The Flour Box, this time adapted to show a little Santa or his hard working reindeers. You can find the cutter here. A detailed video to make both cookies is available from Little Cookie Co. (click here to watch it). Santa is more involved to make, you need to make the icing in different steps to preserve a good separation between the colors. The reindeer is considerably simpler, but both end up super cute!

.
SIMPLE REINDEER

Hard to think of a simpler design, just a round cookie iced with white, and then antlers piped with brown, details with black and red, but you can also use sprinkles to make life even easier.

COOKIE FLIP
FROM STAR TO SANTA

I loved making this design, it just requires a little time to pipe the different areas starting with the part of the hat that gets the sanding sugar.

There are several ways to add the facial details, from pen to sprinkles, and the mustache can be smooth or piped with a star tip for a totally different look. The hat detail looks ok with non-pareils or with sanding sugar. Your choice…

.
SANTA-GNOME-TREE COMBO

Once again, a cookie cutter from Flour Box, that you can find here. Similar to other designs, the different colors are piped and allowed to set briefly before adding adjacent color. Sprinkles decorate the hat, and all the facial details are added once the icing is set.
