In case you need some cuteness in your life, look no further!

The tutorial to make this platter was published very recently by Tunde in her Cookie Club (click here to join). Her goal was to come up with a set that wouldn’t be too time consuming to make, as everybody is so busy in the holiday season. It proves that you don’t need complicated techniques to come up with a beautiful platter of cookies…
The cookie cutter set is available here, but you can also improvise using shapes you already own. I do not divulge details of decorating from paid classes, so let me just share a few of the progress photos.

The feathers are made with wet-on-wet technique…

And the body also doesn’t require advanced techniques. It all comes together quickly…

This is a perfect set of cookies for the Thanksgiving table… You can add more feathers if you have a large crowd of people joining you, or keep it even simpler, just Mr. Turkey and five feathers around it.
