Soon we celebrate a very special holiday for those living in the USA. Once again, I share a few designs joining red, white and blue with a festive vibe…

The most involved design of this set is the round cookie with the central star. The video below demonstrates the technique I used to make the red and white stripes. The original design was inspired by Amber, but she chose a different method to make them.
The composite below show the steps to finalize the cookie…

I love the overall scheme, and all things considered, it is not a very hard cookie to decorate, especially if you have a small star-shaped cookie cutter to help pipe the blue area.

The other two designs were also simple, although both required air-brushing and a stencil to make the silver stars on the blue icing. First thing to do is pipe the blue and let it set for several hours or overnight. Then air-brush and pipe the other parts, in stages.

Not sure which design is my favorite, maybe a tie between the circular cookie and the butterfly…

I also made an additional set of 4th of July cookies that were a repeat from the past, but I loved them so much, had to re-visit. Inspiration was from a tutorial from Tunde Dugantsi, and you can read about it here.

The exact same colors were used for dress-shaped cookies. Together they form a pretty adorable and slightly unusual set…
