Golfing season is back in full swing (pun intended), and cookies to be enjoyed at the 10th tee, are my favorite way to support my beloved husband’s game. Let me open this series with a super special set, made for a tournament he recently played in, The Manhattan Country Club Open.

I made the flags as Royal icing transfers, and the golf ball as a fondant addition. Pretty straightforward cookie to decorate.

How about joining a butterfly cookie cutter with a golf motif?

Very easy also, just start by painting the sand traps with gold luster powder + vodka, and flooding the other areas. Truly nothing to it.

Golf bags are always a favorite, as you can customize each cookie to a particular player. I love the polished look of these cookies…

Below, some of the steps to make them… Using a little paper template is very helpful here.

Another design I made around Easter… Cannot get much simpler than this. Flood in white, glue a golf ball made with fondant, and pipe some black lines, which you could also do with a food safe pen to make it even simpler!

A wet-on-wet approach to celebrate the love of the game…

Below some of the steps, I like to press a small cookie cutter into the raw cookie before baking, so that the outline gets imprinted on the cookie. Makes decorating a lot easier.

And, I am saving my favorite for last…. A cute envelope for true golf lovers…

I am so smitten by this concept! The envelope cookie cutter can be adapted to countless designs, and I think it worked great for golf…

I hope you could find some inspiration for cookies if you have a golfer in your life, or if you love the game. I better get practicing, as soon we will play in a Couple’s Scramble Tournament, and I don’t want to embarrass my partner. Could a trophy be possibly in our future?
