Today I share yet another intense adventure in cookie decorating, courtesy of Tunde Dugantsi (join or visit her club clicking here). Twelve super intricate cookies, requiring many techniques. I learned a lot again, and although it was not easy, it was tremendously rewarding. Keep reading to see all of them and as well as some details of the decorating process.

These are large egg-shaped cookies, about 4 inches tall. Some cookies required piping of a grid as the base for decoration. Others were flooded and decorated with fine lines and Royal icing transfers. Some photos of the process are shown below.

I made a little boo-boo. The goal was to have four cookies of each color, but I made one extra green instead of blue. Oh, well. Not too serious, I just went with what I had. The twelve cookies together made me feel very accomplished, even if – let’s be honest – a little tired!

If you can believe it, my cookies are a bit simplified compared to those from Tunde. She used more colors and shapes for the flowers, I reduced the variety a bit to make my life easier. I absolutely loved this project… Here are my favorites of each tone…

If I was asked to pick my very favorite of each color,
I believe these would make the final cut…

I am always a bit worried before starting a complicated project, but every single time, I feel it was worth the time and effort. Thank you, Tunde, your tutorials are simply amazing!
