Hard to say goodbye to my favorite season, but as usual, we dance to the music. Time to welcome the season of changing colors, lower temperatures, and comfort cooking on the menu.

These cookies are super straightforward to make, all you need is an air-brush and a few colors. Ice all the leave shapes with white icing, let it fully dry. Next day, or in a few hours, air-brush in stages. It is easier to do all cookies, one color at a time. I used yellow, orange, green and brown.

Once that is dry, just add details with piping consistency icing – I used Gold from Americolor. And paint with gold luster powder + vodka. A little final spray with PME pearl and you are all set, although that step is optional, of course.
My first set was mostly green and brown…

.
Then I made a second set with a little more variation in color…

I absolutely love the look that air-brushing does to the background, you simply cannot get the same effect using marbled icing.
