Yes, I saved my favorite for last, just one design today,
THE SOMBREROS!

I was in Cookie-Nirvana with them, because they turned out exactly the way I had envisioned. Full of colors, a real happy set! I cannot lie to you, these were a labor of love. First, every color needed to be made in two consistencies, one to flood and another to pipe super fine lines.

Then the easy part was to flood each cookie, using five different colors as the base…

Don’t pay attention to the little hearts, they were extras that I used to practice the fine line piping… Once the base was fully set, I went to work piping all the details…

I love this set so much, maybe the most satisfying group of cookies I’ve ever made! The fine lines were a bit of a challenge but they worked nicely, so the Gods of the Royal Icing were smiling on me that day…

I close this post with a picture from the Baby Shower, each cookie wrapped in a little bag, everything super colorful the way Courtnie and Alex planned! Wish we could have been there…
