A FRIENDLY GRAVEYARD GHOST

I am pretty smitten by this little fellow, which I made after this cutie pie I saw on Instagram not too long ago. In fact, this is my second version, I did not quite get the transparency effect well enough on my first attempt. That’s why you never got to see it until now (HA!). Cookie cutter available here.

You will need three shades of the same color, then I used white for the details on the lightest purple, and black for the details on the tomb. The details on the medium tone of purple were made using the lightest purple, because I thought that would give the best impression of transparency, white would make it too bright.

If I repeat this design, or if you would like to make it, perhaps the darkest purple could be a little bit l lighter, so that the black writing could show more. But I think that is a minor detail. The outline of the ghost is what makes the design shine, so yes, some piping of fine lines must happen. Same for the outline of the tomb and the writing. You could do the writing with a food safe pen, though.

If you don’t have the cookie cutter, you can make a ‘frankencookie’ by joining a tomb with a ghost, which is in fact how I made my first version.
