TERRACOTA FLORALS

Pure elegance in designs that are not too complex, but perhaps not for real beginners, as some skill to negotiate different consistencies of icing will be a must. I love the colors and how the cookies go together in total harmony. A beautiful set, thanks to the imagination of Amber. Join her club clicking here.

Not many colors are needed, but each consistency is very important, some will be thicker for the piped roses, other slightly thinner, for the stems and leaves. I used terracota, dusty rose and avocado green, some white for details.

The base of some cookies was brushed with terracota, and then all the decorations relied on the other colors.

Overall, these cookies have less icing than most decorated cookies, even the ones coated with the terracota color get a pretty thin layer. Maybe the trickiest component to pipe was the ribbon with the bow on the three plaque cookies. But once you get the consistency right, it is not that hard…

I honestly cannot pick a favorite, I loved the way they form such a beautiful group together…

But I end the post with the easiest design, that you should consider if you need to make a dozen or more floral cookies. The piping is easy, and the whole process is straightforward and fast.

Methinks I’ll leave the piping . . . and everything else . . . to you, but actually love the ‘easiest’ the most – am enchanted by the soft shapes and colour tones of all of them actually . . . gloriously romantic . . . well, suits you . . .
