The big day is almost here! Today I share a series of heart-shaped cookies to inspire you, so let’s get started..

These are super easy to decorate, the toughest part is the bead border, which could be omitted. First get red, two or more shades of pink, and white icing, all in the same piping consistency. Now, let the fun begin!
Keep in mind that the speed is accelerated 4 times, I am not a wizard! But really, each cookie is ready pretty quickly and together they form a real nice Valentine’s set.

PINK HEARTS

For the large heart, I used a little trick: pressed the two smaller heart shapes into the cookie before baking, just to get that imprinted on the cookie. It makes decorating later a lot easier.

You can leave the separation between the different areas or fill them in. I think I prefer with the separation, looks more striking to me.

I loved this design so much that I had to make it again, this time going for a more unusual color…

A few smaller hearts to match the blue vibe….

.
And to reaffirm that hearts do not have to be red or pink, here is a more modern take on the subject…

It takes a bit of patience to pipe all the areas sequentially, but I love this design!
Of course, matching the nail polish is optional, and it was not intentional….

.
Moving on, a delicate design using wet-on-wet….

.
The steps to decorate those are shown below…

I hope this post inspires you for a future cookie decorating adventure…
