I know, it is pretty much over. The holiday season, and the countdown to the New Year. But allow me to savor that spirit just a little longer. All these cookies were made and gifted last month, which is also all of a sudden last year. You can go through this post if you suffer from the same syndrome, or you can always save it for inspiration. Because before we know it Christmas 2026 will be knocking at our door!

Inspired by Amber from @sweetambs… I love the border she taught in a recent tutorial, very easy and will complement many designs, not just for the holidays.

.

The holly design was made as a Royal icing transfer, originally to decorate a Buche de Noel, but leftovers found themselves on cookies. You can check my blog post about the classic cake clicking here.

Super simple designs using small square cookies…

Christmas trees…

Playing with the wavy frame shape, which is so adorable…

.

This trio makes for a simple set that fits together nicely…

.

Inspired by Haniela from @hanielas during a live youtube session she hosted in the beginning of December… Love the color combination!

.

A playful vibe…

A modern vibe….

I hope your 2026 will be very sweet!

I simply cannot believe the time you have spent, the effort you have shown and the imagination which has been translated from your brain to your fingers! They are all beautiful and am sure found very appreciative homes . . . for me there is one new favourite > that big green bow is just absolutely beautiful 🙂 ! and . . . now . . . Christmas being kind’of over , hmm . . . when are we going to see the first Easter designs . . . 🙂 ?

Some don’t believe it is over till January 6th so it is still Christmas season for some. January 12th is National Hot Tea Day (in the US, of course, haha 😂😂) so that is a place to start. Then there is also Mardi Gras in Feb and Valentine’s but you have done a good bit for Valentine’s. You work is always wonderful and sharing the how-to step by step is wonderful!
