Two favorite shapes for dresses, and a few different ways to decorate them. The light pink with a golden top was designed and demonstrated recently by Haniela. You can watch her full adventure clicking here. Remember you can tune in every Wednesday at noon (CST) to watch her decorating. No need to pay, it is free. I love the way she made the fabric on the skirt, such a cool technique!

Using the same cookie cutter (available here), I improvised my own version using some colors I had leftover from other projects, and really like how this one turned out.

This shape is really a lot of fun to use, so I played with other, simpler designs… The tops were made with yellow sanding sugar, the rest of the cookie is just straightforward icing and piping of details.

Even only two colors can be pretty effective, especially if coupled with a detail in fondant or Royal icing transfer.

A slightly different shape and two designs to close this little series… Unfortunately this cutter seems to be no longer available at the etsy shop I got it from. First one uses a stencil and air-brushing.

And just a little fine line piping for the final, romantic design…

Choose your favorite dress, pick your favorite song, and have a blast!
