It shatters my heart that Halloween season is almost over, but let’s not think about it. Today I share a series of cookies that celebrate ghosts, mostly cute, not scary. I hope you love them as much as I do…

I start with a design by Tunde Dugantsi, which is part of a much bigger series shared recently in her tutorial (click here to join her club). Ghosts decorated with white/gold details. I am absolutely in love with them.

I expanded the white/gold idea to decorate other types of ghosts, using Royal icing and a floral stencil, plus a few pumps of gold luster.

I then switched gears slightly and adapted the same design to a pink color. You can bet that next year I’ll revisit this decoration, so many possibilities, and pretty straightforward.

If you like a playful ghost, take it into cowboy territory…

Another super simple design to decorate, I like to first add an outline so that the edges end up with a polished look. Some of the steps preparing this set of cookies are shown below.

I also made some ghosts with tags (set of cutters available here). I love it that you can gear those to the recipient, in this case our grandkids… I also used the Royal icing transfers from Tunde’s project to decorate pumpkins, going silver and gold.

The comic-style ghost is a repeat from my past (click here for my first version, and others with similar style).

I hope your Halloween festivities will be a ton of fun, and you will have plenty of trick-or-treaters knocking on your door!
