Fun not only with the process, but the stamps are from Fun Food Tools, a company I am quite fond of. This series of cookies are perfect for those who don’t care for icing or excessive sweetness. Keep that in mind, and join the fun!

The only cookie that has a tiny bit of Royal icing is the top left one. All others rely on a bit of painting, nothing else. First things first, the stamps are all available here. Use a cookie dough that does not spread, I have this one as my default (recipe at the end of the post).
Stamp, cut and bake all the cookies…

Then comes the fun part, picking the luster powder colors, mixing with vodka and letting your inner Monet fly…

I like to get one color at a time and work on all cookies…

The whole process goes by fast, so it is one of the most efficient ways to decorate without spending a lot of time and energy. There is of course an initial investment buying luster powder, but they last forever. I only go through the gold ones pretty fast, that is why I buy bigger bottles.
The ones below got a little Royal icing in flooding consistency in the center, and a small decoration, in this case made with candy melts in silicone molds.

I hope you consider playing with cookie stamps, there are so many designs available, and if you couple them with colors, the fun is pretty much endless…
