Our youngest grandson Leo turned two years old, and cookies were baked and decorated for the occasion. The theme of the party was CONSTRUCTION, and after a lot of planning and considerable amount of hyperventilating, I show you the different designs we sent for his party.

.
Perhaps my favorite design was the cake, which I made using a small cookie cutter to imprint the image of the cake on a large, rectangular base.

The crane was made with a fine tip food safe pen, and the number two piped with Royal icing. All colors for all cookies were based on natural pigments. The brand I am quite fond of is ENCO, available at amazon.
Of course, when you work in construction, you need to have the right stuff for the jobs.
Like hard hats…

Vests….

Tools…

.
And, of course, trucks are essential part of construction…
Better have them ready to go!

Most cookies were made using this set, but I also got a few isolated cutters.
Another favorite of mine was the dump truck.

To make the dirt, I crumbled a couple of baked chocolate cookies and used that as the dirt, adding the crumbs to a layer of fresh brown Royal icing.

I was told the party was a huge success! And here you can see the table ready with the cookies all bagged waiting for the guests…
