The date is quickly approaching, so here are some ideas to inspire your cookie decorating…

.
Starting with hearts and shamrocks…

Very easy wet-on-wet, with a border that is also pretty straightforward, just thick icing with a small petal icing tip (101 or 102 will work, depending on the size of your cookie). When you pull the shape with a needle, make the two sides first, going in, the pull the top through the center so that you can make a nice little stem.

My favorite design of this series might be the adaptation from last post, in which I followed Tunde for a White on White design.

A little more involved, but I think this basic concept can be used in countless ways…

.
A few more designs to bring a nice set together, all pretty simple.

The cauldron is almost minimalist, just a central shamrock made as a Royal icing transfer, and gold coins that are store-bought sprinkles. Even simpler, the design below, using one of my favorite cookie shapes.

And of course, how could I skip making some shamrock-shaped cookies?

That’s all for now, friends! I will probably make a few more St Patrick cookies, but you can also go back in time and get more inspiration…
