Two beautiful ways, both courtesy of Amber, tutorials available in her cookie club (visit clicking here).

I honestly cannot pick a favorite between the two styles… I think Amber truly outdid herself with the techniques and colors. I do not share full details of cookies that are part of a paid online class, so let me just go briefly over what is involved.

I used a recent favorite color, called Frosted Iris, from SugarArt. Once the cookies are flooded and set, all details are added with white icing using piping as well as brush work. Magical to see them come to life!

I made a full set of purple cookies joining snowflakes and hearts, and I was quite happy with the outcome…

.

These are definitely more involved, requiring precise fine line piping, but they are so effective and beautiful! First step is to outline all the different regions, and then fill them with the different colors, gently marbling them together.

.

Each snowflake will be unique, as they are supposed to be in nature…

Many areas of the US are going through intense winter storms, luckily we’ve been spared. Truth be told , this Brazilian prefers to interact with snowflakes exclusively in the cookie world!

Oh! How wondrously exciting! It snows purple and blue (and primrose too ?) in the middle of the States . . . 🙂 ! Must look up the dictionary for other descriptions than ‘gorgeous’ !
