I love cookie compositions because they make adorable sets to give to special friends and family. Both are available from semisweet designs. I start with a larger version, 13 cookies total (click here to order the set of cookie cutters).

The process to decorate is quite straightforward. First, ice the different components. I used Dusty Rose and Laurel green.

Sorry the color above is not exactly right but it was early in the day and I had no natural light.
Next comes airbrushing of the pink cookies, and piping some of the decorations on the green parts (I used light pink and gold for those).

Finally, details are piped in a darker shade of Laurel green…

The ribbon is also decorated with fine lines on the edges and a bit of gold-pink sanding sugar. A little painting of ornaments and details with gold. For bling. Obviously.

The second platter is simpler, made of only four cookies, but the effect is quite stunning. This cookie cutter set is available here. All details were piped on the cookie after the background set.
