Once again, Haniela demonstrated a beautiful technique that can be applied to countless designs in cookie decorating. You can watch it here. She made beautiful maple leaf cookies, and I adapted it for a floral motif.

.
The whole concept centers around the Cornelli lace that in this case is piped with a two color icing. I used gold and purple.

.
Below you see how the little bag is prepared for the two-color piping.

Afterwards, a little brushing with gold to add the mandatory bling!

.
I also made some with the maple leaf original design, but honestly I think the piping around the leaf could have been sharper, with more defined shape. Not the end of the world, but just something to consider for next time. For the lace I used turquoise and gold mixed in the bag.

.
Totally smitten by this method, which I will definitely use in the future!
