If you celebrate, I hope your day is wonderful, enjoy each minute. A little piece of advice: avoid talking politics. Enough said.
Today I share with you two elegant takes on pumpkins, both courtesy of Amber through her Cookie Club site (click here to visit), which I highly recommend you join if cookie decorating is your thing.
TURQUOISE TILE PUMPKINS

I cannot lie, this is not a beginner’s project. The trickiest part is the central rose, but Amber demonstrates it quite clearly, and if you take your time and practice, it will be part of your treasure chest of skills. From that basic design, I made a little departure using the heart shape.

OMBRÉ PLUM PUMPKINS

Amber made a beautiful plum color mixing pink, blue and yellow as starting points. Mine turned out slightly more blue, but I did not let it bother me. It is not a difficult project, it involves three shades of the same color and some delicate marbling.

The full set included Fall leaves, and I love the way they go together…

My own improvisation on this set was a large top view pumpkin cookie, but I skipped the marbling step…
