I am absolutely thrilled with these cookies and how easy it is to make them, thanks to a set of cutters made by evilcakegenius (those guys ARE geniuses indeed). To order them, click here.

Let me show you the cookie cutters in action… I used this recipe for the dough, with very little leavening agent, and it worked like a charm.
Once you have them all pressed and cut, the super fun time begins!

The possibilities to decorate using these cookies are pretty much endless. You can simply add caramel, fruit jam or ganache to the center and call it a day. You can do wet-on-wet designs with Royal icing, pretty much anything your heart desires.
These were flooded with Royal icing the the details made with fondant and silicone molds…

The central rose was modeling chocolate dyed a light purple color…

I painted all edges with gold because I have a weakness for bling. But you probably knew that already…

I hope you enjoyed this post and consider getting a set of cutters to play with, they will work for designs pretty much the whole year, from Christmas to Valentine’s, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween, just adjust the colors and motifs. I absolutely adore them!
