Another marathon in cookie decorating, this super cute cookie was designed back in 2022 by Amber from @sweetambs and I fell in love with it right away, but considered it was out of my skill level at the time. This year I embraced the challenge and I am so glad I went for it. You can check her video about it clicking here, or – even better – consider joining her Cookie Club.

Without further ado, meet Lucy!

lsn’t that the sweetest looking bunny? Many techniques are required to make it, but if you take your time and exercise patience (cough, cough), it is not bad at all. Some of the steps are shown below…

The component that is a bit advanced to make is probably the basket, made as a Royal icing transfer. I made two, following the advice from Amber, as it is so delicate you can break it easily. Better make more than you need. The same goes for the ribbon, that is made in four different parts: left loop, right loop, and two ribbons. I made quite a few and some did break as I pull them out of the parchment paper. But I loved that technique, super fun!

One thing to pay attention this the size of the roses when you make them with stiff consistency Royal icing. Keep in mind three of them should fit right in the empty space between the handle and the basket. My first series of roses were all slightly too big. I went back to the “piping board” on that one. Once all components are ready, you can glue them in place and admire your cookie masterpiece!

Huge thank you to Amber for the great tutorial, I hope this cookie will bring a smile to a kid
