Before Summer goes away for good, I want to share a small collection of cookies made in the past month, all celebrating the sea. My favorite is the lobster, because I made it after a painting I saw on Pinterest, without any real cookie work to guide me.

Both designs (fish and lobster) relied on a mini-projector to get the basic image over an iced cookie (icing fully set, made the day before). The fishes were made with food safe pen, fine tip for black, thicker tip for all other colors (I love this set). The lobster was piped with medium consistency red icing and a tipless bag with a very small opening cut with scissors.

I really loved making this baby!

Moving on, a very simple design made by brushing unbaked cookies with AMERICOLOR WHITE for the crackled effect.

Two tones of blue and white icing for the waves, and the optional fondant decoration for added level of The Cute… The same basic design will work on many different shapes: round, oval, hearts…

These three designs were a lot of fun to make also. The starfish was inspired by a design from Amber (check her Cookie Art Club clicking here), The other two were from my own imagination. I think they form a pretty happy group together!

For the starfish, I added a final spray of PME pearl luster, which I tend to use often to add a delicate shine to many designs.

That wraps up today’s series, I hope you liked them!
