What can I say? I am a flippant cookie flipper. This time, one of my favorite shapes turns into hubby’s favorite fruit, the watermelon! Aren’t those the sweetest cutest little things?

You will need a large heart-shaped cookie cutter, three colors of flooding consistency: pink, dark green, light green. And thick consistency gold, yellow or ivory (anything that will look good when painted with luster powder gold). I made little eyes as Royal icing transfers, just rounds of white that later I painted with black and blue with a food safe pen. The eyes were added right after flooding the pink area.

A little fondant bow completed the look, and of course, the facial features plus the watermelon seeds were added once the surface was fully set. Plan two days to have these cookies completed, and you will have no issues. I promise!
