This was my first cookie adventure of 2024… A tutorial by Tunde Dugantsi, using one single color, white. Many different techniques for piping, I would consider this project medium to advanced. Fine line piping is definitely a big part of it. And by now you probably know how much I love the challenge of it…

Only one design of Tunde’s seven cookie class is missing from my collection. I made a double of one of the designs so that the seven would form a nice pattern together. The one missing was a beautiful Hungarian folk flower, but mine ended up looking like a crustacean (I swear to you it is true), so no one got to see it. It had a beautiful burial. Below, some of the steps to make these elegant cookies, following the super detailed video available in Tunde’s club. Click here to join her classes.

I had some issues with the cookie that had the grid piped. The hard part – piping the grid – was not problem, but when I added the heart into the grid, my consistency was a bit off. I was so disappointed I made that design again, two more times, but never quite got it right. Odd, because I have done it better in the past. The Gods of the Icing were not exactly smiling at me that day… Below, one of my repeats, which I did the following day using a round cookie.

My three favorite cookies of this class were the ones below…

The simple piped rose in the quilted background is such a nice technique to have under your belt. It is definitely going to be on my future cookies for springtime.

Inspired by one of my favorite techniques in the class, I made a few additional cookies…

Thank you, Tunde, for another great tutorial, as usual I learn a lot from you…
