FOR THE LOVE OF WINTER NIGHTS

I am a creature of the tropics, but being away from Brazil for 30 years (I left for France on December 26th, 1993 then later moved permanently to the US), forced me to embrace all seasons, including the dreadful winter. There is beauty in every season. Lesson learned.

These cookies are truly simple to decorate, I promise you. The trees can be super rustic, and if you prefer you can skip the bead border, in case it makes you hyperventilate.

Flood the cookies with half white, half dark blue, and add a blob of white to pull with a needle to make the star. Let it all set, and add the details. Piping consistency for little stars and the moon, a little thicker for the trees. Sanding sugar for the details on the snow and tree. Top the tree with a star and you are DONE!

I love this set, and hope they brought a smile to those who got them.

These are fantastic. And you’re right, there is beauty in each season. In fact, I just did a podcast episode about that very topic!
