Here I am again to share a fresh design by Amy from @seriouslysweet. Visit her site to join us all in the year-long adventure that pairs one cute gnome and floral cookie each month. No surprises here, September had to bring a Fall mood, which is perfect, even though our wether is still hot hot HOT!

Pumpkin feet and nose! Can you stand that? It is just the cutest detail ever… Full disclosure and confession: I did not have a pumpkin shaped mold, so I improvised with a small Easter egg turned sideways. Quite a few details and techniques used for this set, including the beard that Amy does with a super cool method, but of course, it is part of her paid class and I don’t feel it is right to share. I love it, though. Once you get the gist of it, it works great.
Below, some of the steps to make the gnome….

I usually love the gnomes the most, but I must say that this month I am very much smitten by the sunflower, and in this particular time my puffy Royal icing rose to the challenge!

I changed just a little bit the design, by piping the flower over iced cookie instead of over the naked cookie as Amy did. I should have used a slightly lighter green, but overall I am quite happy with it. I also painted some details with luster powder both in the gnome and the floral.
