Today I share three cookies made after tutorials from Haniela, one of the cookie artists I follow and love. You can tune in every Wednesday at noon (CST) to watch her demonstrate techniques and work on cookies from start to finish. It is free, but you can also support her by going to her Ko-Fi shop where all the appropriate templates and overall instructions will be available to download. For her Facebook page, click here. For her blog, that has all things sweet and savory, click here.
DESIGN #1
THE WATERMELON CUPCAKE

How adorable are these on a scale of 1 to 10? At least 14, right? To make them, I used air-brushing with a stencil, and simple Royal icing piped in stages. The sprinkles were made with piping consistency icing, dyed brown, using a tipless bag. Haniela demonstrates her version in this detailed video.

The only additional embellishment was adding sanding sugar to the white top border of the cupcake, and finally a little Diamond dust over the pink area.

DESIGN #2
FLIP FLOPS

There we go high again on the Adorable Cookie Kingdom! I used chocolate cookies, and both the cookies and the straps were made using a template provided by Hani in her ko-fi shop. You can watch her detailed video to make those clicking here.

I went with air-brushing with stencils for all the background on the flip-flops and then painted the straps either pink or gold. Because bling….

Not sure which one is my favorite, but maybe this one below?

DESIGN #3
LILLY OF THE VALLEY

I fell in love with this design as soon as I saw Haniela demonstrate it. I used Americolor Avocado as the basic color, Electric green and white. You can find her blog post about these cookies clicking here.

After flooding the cookie and allowing it to fully set, the details are added with a food pen and piping consistency white Royal Icing. Try to get as much lift as possible in the flowers, so a thicker icing is advised. The dotted border in two colors was the final “icing on the cookie”. Literally.

I hope you enjoyed this set of cookies, perfect for Spring and Summer months…
