I ran out of time to share all the cookies I made for the Valentine’s season, but to be honest, I pretty much decided to celebrate love in cookie shape throughout the whole year. Why not? We all need it. Today I share some designs that took the cute factor way up, or so I think.
POLKA DOT HEARTS

.
These are squares with a little tiny heart cookie glued after the center is flooded. Steps for making this set are shown below…

THE SMILEY ENVELOPE

I did not take step by step photos of this particular cookie, but the following week I used the same shape to make golf cookies for hubby and his buddies, so you can see the process below…

Draw the different areas, fill them in stages, as soon as you flood the white, add black pearls for the eyes. Once all areas are flooded and almost set, you can add fine white lines separating the different portions of the cookie, for a more polished look. All that is left to do is glue the details, add blush to the “cheeks” and write the message.

I think this makes a pretty adorable set!

.
Moving on, what could be cutter than a llama with a gnome? You tell me!

Pretty straightforward decorating for both, there is a need for fine line piping but not too complicated. The heart on the llama is chocolate, just like the heart hanging from the gnome’s hat. The cutter for the gnome, a double cookie set, is available here.
SMILING HEARTS

The easiest and simplest! Flood with your choice of color, add sprinkles to one small area, let it fully set. Draw the eyes and mouth with a fine tip food safe pen.
Stay tuned for much more love flowing here, I refuse to restrict love cookies to February!
