If you think you always need many colors of icing to properly decorate a cookie, allow me to offer a much simpler path. White and pink. That is all you need for this set of cookies that celebrate the season. No, not my favorite season by a long shot, but one thing I learned is to dance to the music…

The little house is the only cookie a bit more involved to decorate. All others rely on flooding the whole cookie with white, allowing it to set and adding small dots all around. For that reason, the flooding needs to leave a small space of naked cookie to show off the tiny dots. That would also look pretty awesome on gingerbread or chocolate cookies, for their darker background.

It sounds like a lot of work, but let me show you a short video, hopefully you will realize it is all quite doable!
.
I loved making this set, and will quite likely make a few more designs using this same minimalist approach.

.
I also made a small set of snowflakes to complement the set…

And, of course, if you have another color of icing hanging around, nothing wrong with putting it to use!
