I have a soft spot for gnome cookies, their cuteness level can go super high… Today I share three design ideas. No, I did not follow any tutorial this time, just improvised my way through.

I used three different shapes, and made a few Royal icing transfers of appropriate size for the noses and pumpkins. Sketched the overall idea with a food safe pen, and added icing to the areas I wanted to air-brush. I made a little error in judgment and iced the nose area for the top ones, should have waited until later. I had to mask that area when I air-brushed the hat.

.
Air-brushing comes next, either with a stencil or just as shading.

.
Once that dried, I added the gold detail…

.
And then all that was left to do was add the beard and glue the transfers.

.
A few more details later – white spider web, hands holding the pumpkin, and the little smile.

.
These are my favorites for sure, just love these little cutie pies!

.
But of course, let’s not play favorites, these two fellows are also pretty adorable..

.
To match the mood, a little pumpkin can come in handy…

.
So that’s all for today, folks! Fall is such a great season to decorate cookies, I am just getting started…
