Another super cute design by Haniela, the star of this show is definitely the technique to make coffee bubbles with Royal icing. Too cool for words!

I love this set so much, perfect for those who cannot quite conceive starting a day without Java. Like yours truly. Decorating begins with flooding and allowing to fully set the background of the coffee mug cookie. Then, a stencil is used to add white icing as a decoration. Next, comes the coffee area, using Hani’s method to create bubbles. You can follow her tutorial visiting this video from 4 years ago.

And here is the set of four coffee mugs…

The set is planed with smaller cookies depicting the surface of the cup seen from above. Quite straightforward to make, with the mandatory inclusion of… yes, you guessed it: bubbles!

The two kinds of cookies really complement each other well…

I also made a trio of additional cookies with an abstract pattern using similar tones, just for fun…

Haniela’s blog (click here to visit) is an incredible source of inspiration not only for cookies, but cakes, cupcakes, all sorts of savory and sweet recipes. Check it out, subscribe and do not miss any of her new posts!
