Today I share a few designs circling around these beautiful creatures of the sea. All with a modern flair.

A super simple shape, all you need is to embrace bright colors. I used the Electric set from Americolor, my default option when I want the colors to make a statement.

Those were actually a cookie flip, the cutter is a balloon, which works quite well for this purpose. I was inspired by drawings I saw on Pinterest. The eyes were store-bough candy, and the mouth a little heart-shaped sprinkle, but you could pipe eyes and mouth with Royal icing as an alternative.

The triangle shape was also inspired by things I saw on Pinterest, in this case they were ceramic decorations, I just adapted them for cookies. I love the way these turned out! So many possibilities…

I have used this cutter in the past, this was super simple. One color, two consistencies, body made with a petal piping tip. A little gold for bling. And a PME pearl for the eye.
I hope you enjoyed this modern take on little fishes!
