I don’t restrict love-related cookies to the month of February, but there’s no way to deny it is the official time to go crazy with it. I open the season with a wonderful set inspired by a recent live with Haniela (click here for the full video).

The set is based on Royal icing transfers, a great way to decorate cookies, as you can make lots of them and just use in any way you fancy. Haniela provided templates for her members, and I went to work…

Once you have the transfers ready, it is just a matter of flooding cookies of different shapes and planning the final design.

I’ve had a postal stamp shaped cookie cutter that I wanted to use during Christmas but did not have a chance, so I brought it to play in this set, and I really like the way it turned out.

So many different shapes and backgrounds can go well with the heart balloon and the love theme!

.

I incorporated the balloons in other projects, so stay tuned for more in the near future….

They are so much fun to make, and last pretty much forever…. plus, piping them is very Zen (cough, cough)

Having had no Internet for over a week . . . and only some weird bits ‘floating’ by now I sure see the love and need the love and love what I see and send a lot of the sentiment(s) back to you . . . adore the postal stamps . . . 🙂 !
