Such magnificent birds, and very cookie-worthy, don’t you think? Two versions today and a few more from my past in this post.

This one seems quite complex but it is actually not that complicated to make. I watched a reel on Instagram and could not wait to try it myself. Check it out here.

The feathers around are made with a wet-on-wet super simple, then the area is sprayed with diamond dust. The body is then piped, the eyes, and later the little crown on top of the head. The piping around the outside is the only real tricky part but you could easily skip that, the cookie will look nice without it.

.

This one is much simpler to make, and I love the polished, modern-clean look. I chose two different tones for the background.

Flood the base, let it set. Pipe the body with a contrasting blue color, add add black pearl to the eyes . Pipe the beak later. Let it set for 30 minutes and add the lines around it, then little dots for the details with white Royal icing. If you like, you can add little beads instead, I decided to go with the easiest route.
