Another incredibly cute idea by Haniela, these are fun, especially if you use her recipe for Confetti Sugar Cookies, that ties design and flavor together so nicely. You can find the recipe and her detailed tutorial clicking here.

All you need as a starting point is a large circular cookie (if you don’t own a large cutter, use an inverted bowl to cut the shape by hand. Make two of those and cut each into 8 equal wedges (I made a little template with paper to help me visualize where to cut the pieces).

Once the cookies are baked, you will decorate just the top, I used two different colors and two different styles, one adding nonpareils right after flooding, and the other adding a little fondant flower.

The two slices are glued together with thick white icing applied to the edges, I used a star tip to give it a nice look. Once that is all set, the final touch is adding a border with a contrasting color. You are done!
