Golf, that tricky four-letter game… Things can go downhill quickly in the golf course (I know that painfully well), but when you have some sweetness waiting for you on the number 10 tee, it can be so bad… These are designs I’ve made in the past couple of months to my favorite golfer and his buddies, hope you can find some inspiration…
DESIGN #1
TEED UP GOLF BALL
I had fun with these, as you can imagine. Some steps shown below, start with flooding the ball with white, adding gray dots all over and immediately adding a touch of white off-center in all gray spots. Then pipe the tee, let it all set and add the leaves with thick consistency green and the facial features with piping consistency black.
DESIGN #2
THE FOUR PLAYER PUZZLE
If you have a foursome, these would work great, although there might be some debate about who gets which cookie. The one on the top left might generate a bit of a sour taste… I used four 3-inch square cookies, drew the basic design and went to work. The rough around the green was first flooded and then once that set I used very thin Royal icing in the same color applied with a brush for texture.
DESIGN #3
THE GOLDEN SAND TRAP
I was lucky that the day they played was pretty cloudy, but all of a sudden when they finished the first half, the sun came out and the gold of the cookie was shinning intensely! Imagine the odds of that… The cookie start with a simple design, painted gold where the sand trap is located. The rest is quite straightforward.

DESIGN #4
THE GOLF CLUB
Another design I loved to put together, marbled green and blue, let that set and added the details: golf club piped in gray and then painted with luster powder silver. And a little fondant ball made with a silicone mold.
I make golf-themed cookies very often, for obvious reasons, so I am accumulating quite a large number of designs…
I am particularly fond of this set that I made for a golf tournament they played in, called Eager Beaver…
That’s all for now, friends! Golf season is long in Kansas, so stay tuned for more soon!
