I love cookie flips, and if you do, I urge you to go read this post from a few years back by Haniela. She assigned herself the challenge of coming up not with one or two, but THIRTY cookie designs using a strawberry shaped cutter! Can you wrap your mind around that? So I start this post with your regular strawberry shape, no flips. My own design, inspired by images around the Pinterest and Instagram world.
To make the cookies, I flooded half red, half very light brown. Allowed that to set, then added the details with white in piping consistency and leaves with thick consistency green. After a few hours I painted the leaves with a little gold and added gold “seeds” to the red area. Some steps shown below.

THE FLOWER POT
Isn’t that super cool? I modified the design just slightly to make it simpler, but you can check Haniela’s original in her post that I linked in the first paragraph. This is a simple design to make and very effective. You can do all sorts of colors for the pot and change the details on top, if you want to make it easier just use small candy sprinkles instead of piping. Some steps are show below.
The outline on the leaves is optional, the cookies will look nice without it…
