FUN WITH WAX SEAL STAMPS

If you follow my food blog, Bewitching Kitchen, you’ve maybe read a recent post in which I used wax seal stamps to mold chocolate (click here to see the post). Today I share with you how I used the exact same stamps (plus a new one with a very cool dragon) to mold fondant. No need to freeze the stamps as I had to do with chocolate. All you do is roll the fondant, brush a little cornstarch on the surface, and press the image. A cookie cutter polishes the shape, and of course, a little bling is mandatory as far as I’m concerned. Vodka and luster powder to the rescue!

Below you see the results of my labor, a series of fondant stamps ready and waiting for their forever home in cookie shape.

I used my default recipe for Chocolate Chipotle cookies, flooded with red (Red Rose from SugarArt), then air-brushed a design with gold.

Then it is all a matter of mixing and matching stamps with cookies, I just loved the way they turned out! Isn’t the dragon the coolest thing ever? To get that stamp, click here.

Here are others I made from the same batch of cookie dough…
