Every year it seems I find a new technique to decorate and fall in love with it. For Christmas trees, this method stole my heart big time. It is incredibly simple, and super effective. Once you start, it is hard to stop doing different color schemes.

To bring this motif to cookie-life, flood the base and let it set. Make a line going all the way up the tree, then add small blobs of icing, no need to be super thick, but it needs to be thicker than flooding consistency. You can use different colors. Then place some sanding sugar on a plate and very gently press the cookie on it. That is all! See the steps below.

You can also use just white or gold to make the little dots and then paint them with gold for a different look… See them both below…

It also looks super cute in red over a white background….

I used confetti sprinkles for the string of lights below, but I definitely want to re-visit that with this technique, I think it will be super cute!

A little collection of trees from the recent past to close this post, and wish you all a
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
