Is it too early? Nah, I think we are almost at the end of September, and it is a perfect opportunity to launch the Halloween season in the Cookie Universe!

These are super simple to make, but for the best effect it is nice to make the eyes as Royal icing transfers. The simplest way to make them is to pipe them in white and then use a food safe pen to draw the details. Otherwise you would have to pipe lots of different colors.

Once the transfers are ready, just pick some colors for the background and contrasting dots, and you are all set. Let that set for an hour or so, and come back with piping consistency black icing for the smile and nose. Finally, piping consistency in white for the teeth, which you can make as crooked as your imagination calls for.

I had a ton of fun making them, this week they get donated and I am hoping some family with kids will get to enjoy them…

Stay tuned for many more scary cookies coming your way! After all, I am ONLY getting started……
